"Rather than focusing on just one artwork, New Address provides us with a peek into the entire oeuvre of artist Tobias Kaspar’s, using the modes and codes of the “behind the scenes”—black and white photographs without any staging.
In this publication Tobias Kaspar’s artistic approach unfolds through an image flow taken from the artist’s hard disk, not showing clean white cub installation views but rather dirty raw making-of photographs of the apartments the artist has been living in and paying rent for in the past years. An additional booklet includes a list of works as they appear in the book as well as a text by artist Mikael Brkic and a longer essay by art historian Daniel Horn.
This book is published in conjunction with Tobias Kaspar’s homonymous exhibition New Address—the inauguration exhibition of __________, __________. New Address took place from __________ to __________ and coincided with the artists move to Riga."
