Cesura//Acceso present an evening of readings, performance and music to celebrate the launch of Cesura #2, featuring writing by Nathaniel Mackey, Hannah Black, Paul Abbott, Federica Frabetti, David Morris, Sacha Kahir, and others.
Also launching at OTO is Howard Slater's pamphlet A Blind Eye Turned: Notes on Music and Libidinal Economy(Cesura//Acceso, 2016), which looks at the aesthetics of control, alienation and S/M in industrial and experimental music as a critique of libidinal economy.
Cesura was formed in 2014 as a place to think through the politics of music. The first issue was published in 2014. They have since held workshops, talks, radio shows, and put on gigs exploring the politics of music, poetry and performance.
