Galerie Michael Janssen is pleased to host The Andrew Project book launch, a project by artist Shaan Syed. For the launch, Syed has invited artist and diarist Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay to create a new performance in which a man reflects on recent Berlin history while dancing at a nightclub.

A school for design fiction was convened on 8 November, 2013 at Gallery for Contemporary Art, Leipzig. This itinerant school employs the curious genre of ‘design fiction’ to assert storytelling as the primary function of design, assuming that every artefact has the potential to express the character of the culture that produced it.
Dating back to 1926, the yearly judging of the Dutch Best erzorgdeBoeken is the oldest of it’s kind in Europe. Due to several interruptions, the selection of books published in 2012 is the 54th one.

The Book on Books on Artists’ Books is a bibliography of books, pamphlets and catalogues on artists’ books, edited and compiled by Arnaud Desjardin. It takes stock of a wide variety of publications on artists’ books since the early 1970s to draw attention to the kind of documentary trace of distribution, circulation and reception they represent.
MISS READ 2013 opens on the 19th of September and brings together now for the fifth time the most important protagonists of art book publishing. In addition to some 100 international exhibitors, a series of talks, panel discussions, and presentations will explore the cutting edge of art publishing today.
