Since the late eighties Strik has employed the use of embroidery layered over photographs in his pieces with the goal of playing with narratives and altering the meaning and value of a pre-existing image. A new chapter to Strik's embroidered works is documented in this pleasing catalogue which presents nineteen works produced over the last three years, most of which are generously reproduced on full, two-page spreads.
