Monster
Breasts, silver mushrooms, a melancholy fir tree, giant slippers, milk cans: these are a few of the works that stand in Maria Roosen's favourite top ten at the moment. From out of this subjective choice of these ten works emerges a fabric of visual and textual narratives about their genesis, links with other work, pendants, associations, ideas and mentality. This large format volume connects these key works and threads them though a profusion of images of Roosen's work, along with a selection of beautiful full-page watercolours and accompanying texts by Hanne Hagenaars and Wim Van Mulders.
