Karl Blossfeldt / Neo Rauch the first of a new series from the Grafikstiftung Neo Rauch. The visual vocabulary of expression in the work of the German photographic pioneer Karl Blossfelt stands in a dialog of first encounters with the painter Neo Rauch’s works on paper created for this occasion.  Berhart Schwenk: "Blossfeldt, who is now considered one of the pioneers of the history of photography, would have turned 150 this year. Like Rauch, the man born almost a century before grew up in the Harz Mountains; the places in which they spent their childhood and youth — Blossfeldt in Schielo, Rauch in Aschersleben — are located not far apart."
